Canyons of Birtvisi, this best place for those who likes to climb ridge rocks who likes to overcome difficulties and heights.

Canyons are in Tetri-Tskaro’s region (near Algeti’s reservoir). Birtvisი are represented by a circle with a diameter of 3-kilometers in which center, at the height of 1000 m there is Birtvisi Fortress.

To reach to Birtvisi Canyons you should do a difficult way. Here you will meet two entrances to this region, one central which is in South side of the village Tbisi, and the second rear entrance from northwest side of the village Amlevi.

 

Route following: from Tbilisi to the village Partskhisi, then from the bridge to go 2 km to the village Tbisi where there is an index to Birtvisi to Tsartskhisi. On a track to canyons of 3,5 km. You should pass through the wood, then on edge of a canyon, again the wood which comes to open and very beautiful high place between canyons. The next way goes highly up to a narrow crack of a canyon, and then the track sharply goes down and beautiful descent which opens to you the mad valley begins. It is also the center of the region.
