Mtirala National Park is open in Adjara, on the hill Kobuleti-Chakvi. The mountain of Mtirala located at the height of 1761 m above sea level is between Chakvi and Kobuleti. The mountain the whole year shrouds fog and the amount of precipitation is great therefore she was nicknamed Mtiral, i.e. “crying”. Being at Mtirala the rain even if the sun brightly shines at any time can go.
Values of park are unique mineral sources, curative springs, the dense vegetation presented by the Colchis wood, a grove.
Walk on Mtiral’s park begins with the village Chakvi and proceeds to the village Chakvistavi. Here you will be surprised by mad beauty of the river of Chakvistskali, falls and lake which are surrounded with velvet mountains.
In park special footpaths are laid, there are places for picnic, it is possible to walk on a horse, to examine chestnut houses which throughout two centuries still kept the look.
The best time for visit of these places are the spring, summer and early fall.
