Nekresi – the historical city of Kakheti, near the village Shildsi which is on the mountain. In the IV century on this mountain over the Alazansky valley was built the beautiful monastery Nekresi.

 

 

To reach Nekresi, you should pass about 1200 meters, rise quite cool. To walk with some difficulty and therefore to the monastery special minibuses go.

 

 

The view from vicinities of the monastery is madly beautiful, it is possible to admire numerous green fields.

 

 

The monastery Nekresi will interest you in the frescos, views of the Alazansky valley. In the territory of a monastic complex there is a water source.

The Church is constructed of roughly ashlar and costs on the base transformed to a tomb.
